This notice explains what personal data Gahwo collects when you use gahwo.com, why we collect it and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

Who we are

gahwo.com is run by GAHWO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17062834), registered office 17 Upper Walthamstow Road, London E17 3QG. GAHWO LTD is responsible (the “data controller”) for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at any time through our Contact page.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored securely and never in plain text.

Order details: your name, delivery address, email address, what you buy and your order history.

Messages: anything you send us through the contact form.

Supplier applications: the business and contact details submitted through our Supplier Hub.

Payment details: card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

To take, deliver and support your orders and run your account, because we need to in order to fulfil our contract with you. To answer your messages and review supplier applications, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. To keep records the law requires, such as sales records for tax. We only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the site: WeWeb (website hosting, database and accounts), Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider (order and account emails) and our delivery carrier (to get your order to you). They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for six years to meet UK tax rules. Your account data is kept while your account is open, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Messages and supplier applications are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or application.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, delete or send you a copy of your data, to stop or limit how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Contact us through our Contact page and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and browser storage

gahwo.com only uses what it needs to work: a sign-in session so you stay logged in, and your browser’s local storage to remember what is in your bag. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you by email.
